November 23, 2021

It's December again. But hybrid!

Another music season has dawned. But the usual festival spirit is still missing.

The music is on. Well, a lot has been on every day during the last two years and many of them have been online. Concerts have arrived at our drawing rooms. Are we good with this?

Though The Music Academy announced in September that their 'season' will be online-only this year too, many other sabhas have not decided on the concerts. A month ago, promotions began occupying the timelines of many who keenly follow the December concerts, but many of them were online concerts.

In a while, individual sabhas were seen announcing their online / offline concerts.

The season picked up instantly.

Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan (BVB) hosted its cultural festival in an open-air auditorium in 2020 and music lovers who are regular at Bhavan's hoped for a similar arrangement this year too. Surprisingly, Bhavan resumed the concerts at its hall in Mylapore. They had run a recee of a series during Navaratri in October.

BVB has announced its 20-day cultural festival from Dec. 26, 2021.

We need to wait and watch for others. We will update you soon on the concerts.
