Students of music and research scholars make it a point to attend the lecdem sessions at The Music Academy. The academic sessions happen in the morning at
Kasturi Srinivasan Hall (mini hall) at the Music Academy campus.
The sessions are generally presided over by the 'Sangita Kalanidhi' designate of the year. This year due to the indisposition of the Sangita Kalanidhi designate Bombay Jayashri, the previous years' Sangita Kalanidhi awardees are taking turns to preside over the sessions.
The convenor of the sessions is Sriram V
Discussions are open to the audience after comments from the Members of the Expert Committee
