Nartaka - Dance festival from Nov. 8

Natyanjali Trust is presenting its 7th year of Nartaka Dance Festival, a series of performances by male dancers, from Nov. 9, 2013.

Venue: Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, East mada Street, Mylapore, Chennai.

Leela Samson (Chairperson Sangeet Natak Akademi) will be the chief guest on the inaugural evening. Nartaka Award 2013 will be presented to Guru K. Kalyanasundaram Pillai (Director, Sri Rajarajeswari Bharatha Natya Kala Mandir, Mumbai)

November 8, 2013
5.30 pm: Dance by Tandava -The Vibrance (Bangalore)
6:15 pm: Inauguration & presentation of  Nartaka Award
Bharatanatyam by Aniruddha Knight (Chennai)

November 9, 2013
5.00 pm: Bharatanatyam by Sibi Sudarsan (Chennai)
6.00 pm: Bharatanatyam by Ajith Bhaskaran Dass (Malaysia)
7.00 pm: Kathak by Sweekruth B.P. (Bangalore)

November 10, 2013
10 am to 12 pm: Lec-dem by S. Jayachandran & Kiran Rajagopalan
5.00 pm: Kuchipudi by Avijit Das (Bangalore)
6.00 pm: Bharatanatyam by Parshwanath S. Upadhye (Bangalore)
7.00 pm: Bharatanatyam by Vaibhav Arekar (Mumbai)
