Kartik Fine Arts Awards for 2022

Kartik Fine Arts announces the following titles and awards foe 22 to be presented at its 48th annual Art Festival 2022 in December:

'Isai Peroli' – K. Bharat Sundar, vocalist

'Nadanamamani' –  Aishwarya Ananth Karthik

‘Nritya Peroli’ –  Chitra Visweswaran

'Tamil Isai Vendhar' –  R. K. Shriramkumar,  violinist

'Isai Chudar’  – V. Deepika & V. Nandhika, vocalists

'Natya Chudar'   –  Bhavya Kumaran

Kartik Rajagopal Endowment Award for the best cultural organiser –   N. Sekar, secretary, Rasika Ranjana Sabha, Tiruchirapalli.

‘Nadha Swaroopam’ award –  Rajkumar Bharathi

D. K. Pattammal Award of Excellence – Abishek Ravishankar, vocalist

The Music Academy announces awards for three years

The Music Academy has announced Sangita Kalanidhi, Sangita Kala Acharya, TTK Award for Excellence for the years 2020, 2021 and 2022. Since the physical festival could not be conducted in the last two years because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the awards for those years also have been announced.

The Sangita Kalanidhi awards will be presented to senior musician Neyveli R. Santhanagopalan (2020), mridangam vidwan Tiruvarur Bhakthavatsalam (2021) and the violinists duo Lalgudi G.J.R Krishnan and his sister Lalgudi Vijayalakshmi (2022)

The Sangita Kala Acharya award will go to Nagaswaram vidwan Kizhvelur G. Ganesan (2020), vocalist and musicologist Ritha Rajan (2021) and musicologist Vainika R.S. Jayalakshmi (2022).

The TTK award recipients are vocalist Thamarakkad Govindan Namboothiri (2020), mridhangam and jalatarangam vidwan Nemani Somayajulu (2021) and kanjira artist A.V. Anand (2022). Musicologist award for 2022 goes to V. Premalatha.

The Nritya Kalanidhi awardees are Rama Vaidhyanathan (2020), Narthaki Nataraj (2021) and Bragha Bessell (2022).
