Sangeetha Kala Sarathy award for vocalist N. Vijay Siva

Sri Parthasarathy Swami Sabha in its 114th year confers the title 'Sangeetha Kalasarathy' on vocalist N. Vijay Siva for his dedicated and continued service to the field of Carnatic Music on the inaugural day of Isai Vizha - December Music Festival - on Dec. 14, 2014 Vidya Bharathi, Mylapore. This award carries a cash prize of Rupees One Lakh (Cash Award from the endowment created by Sri. P. Vijayakumar Reddy and Smt. Preetha Reddy).

Srimadh Parama Hamsa Rangaramanuja Jeer alias Emberumanar Jeer Swamigal,  Alwarthirunagari  inaugurates the festival and confers the title.

The Sabha will present the Palghat Mani Iyer Centenary award to Mrudangam maestro Guruvayur Dorai.   The Dwaram Venkataswami Naidu Award to  Violin maestro Parur M.S. Anantharaman.  The G. Ramanathan Award to Dr. Sirkazhi Sivachidambaram and Dr. M.L.V. Award to vocalist K. Gayathri on the inaugural day.

Brahma Gana Sabha Awards - 2014

During this year's December Arts Festival, Brahma Gana Sabha awards the title Gaana Padhmam on senior vocalist Trichur Ramachandran.
Dancer Priyadarshini Govind will be conferred with the title Naatya Padhmam. The title Naataka Padhman is for A.R. Srinivasan (ARS) and Vaadhya Padhmam is for Thanjavur R. Ramamurthy.

The awards will be conferred on the artistes on the inaugural day of the festival on Dec. 3, 2014

Indian Fine Arts Society Awards 2014

The prestigious awards Sangeetha Kalasikhamani  and Natya Kalasikhamani will be awarded this year to senior violinist A. Kanyakumari and Bharatanatyam dancer Priyadarshini Govind respectively.

Indian Fine Arts Society also presents the Dr. Umayalpuram K. Sivaraman Award for Best Senior Mridangam Vidwan to Mannargudi A. Easwaran this year.

The awards will be presented to the artistes on Dec. 17, 2014, the inaugural day of the sabha's this year December Arts Festival.

Naadhabrahmam Awards 2014

Naadhabrahman Music Journal will conduct its 13th year December music festival from Dec. 13, 2014 to Jan. 01, 2015.

In the inaugural day, the following awards for this year, will be conferred on artistes:

Vocalist T.V. Gopalakrishnan will receive the title Naada Kovida and dancer-guru Krishnakumari Narendran will be awarded the Nrithya Sevika title. Lalgudi Vijayalakshmi will receive the title Naada Sevika and dancer Zakir Hussain will receive the title Nrithya Sevaka.

The concerts will be held at Ramakrishna Mission High School, TAG Auditorium, Dhandapani Street, T.Nagar, Chennai -17

Indira Sivasailam Endowment Award for vocalist T M. Krishna

The season of music in Madras begins with Vinayaka Chaturthi and Navaratri. The Ganesha temples in the city have already begun the Chaturthi series of concerts. With Navaratri in row and the organisations who do not own a hall or auditorium begin their season in September / October well ahead of the major sabhas.

The season begins with the announcements of awards and titles. Since 2010, Indira Sivasailam Endowment Award is presented by the endowment established by Mallika Srinivasan, Chairman, TAFE Limited, in memory of her mother.

This year vocalist T.M. Krishna has been selected for the award to be presented during Navaratri.
A disciple of B. Seetharama Sarma and trained under Semmangudi Srinivasa Iyer, Krishna is a young and popular singer. He is the in the news during the season for his unconventional concert pattern and off-beat thoughts and ideas.

The recipients of the Indira Sivasailam Endowment Award in the past years are Sudha Ragunathan, Sanjay Subrahmanyan, Aruna Sairam and Bombay Jayashri Ramnath.

Sangita Kalanidhi award for T.V. Gopalakrishnan

The multifaceted Carnatic musician T.V. Gopalakrishnan is selected for the prestigious title 'Sangita Kalanidhi'  conferred every year by the Music Academy. He will preside over the 88th Annual Conference of the Music Academy to be held from Dec. 15, 2014 to Jan. 1, 2015.

A mridangam vidwan, Gopalakrishnan is also proficient in Carnatic vocal and Hindustani vocal music. He will be Conferred the 'Sangita Kalanidhi' title at the Sadas on Jan. 1, 2015.

The other awards presented by the Music Academy have also been announced.

Sangita Kala Acharya award will be presented to vocalists Mangad K. Natesan from Trissur and Alamelu Mani from Mumbai

Senior vocalist Malladi Suribabu and Nama sankirtanam exponent Udaiyalur Kalyanaraman will receive the TTK awards.

Dr. Padma Murthy is selected for the Musicologist award. The Pappa Venkataramiah Award for violin will be presented to Lalgudi Rajalakshmi.

All these awards will be conferred at the Sadas on Jan. 1, 2015

Leela Samson, senior Bharatanatyam dancer will be conferred the Natya Kala Acharya Award and this award will be Conferred at the Inaugural function of the Dance Festival on Jan. 3, 2015.
