December Music Season extends to Greater Chennai

Rasikapriya Fine Arts Academy, an initiative of a group of young Carnatic music connoisseurs residing in the IT corridor of Chennai is conducting a special event called 'OMR Music Season 2014' with a series of four concerts in various genres. The series is held on the weekends from Nov. 30, 2014.

An evening discussion on the day of Saraswathi pooja about the music concerts during the December season, soon veered into the lack of opportunities to witness live performances of popular artists on the IT corridor.  The group of arts lovers thought of the need for an institution that will bring world class musicians, dancers and artists to perform for the residents of OMR. Rasikapriya was thus born!

The Academy wishes to hold concerts every month and plans to hold music festivals periodically. Encouraging the young talents by conducting competitions, lec-dems are also in the annual agenda.
